Myroslava Andrushchyshyna is Chief of the Expert Support Group “Halychyna” and forensic expert within the Expert Support Unit for the Western Regional Directorate of the Main Forensic Centre of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, based in Lviv.

With 23 years of service in the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Myroslava brings extensive operational experience in border security and border control. Before becoming a forensic expert, she served at border crossing points and within the headquarters of border protection authorities.

With 9 years of experience in forensic examination, she specialises in Forensic Document Examination and Forensic Facial Recognition and Comparison. Her expertise covers national and foreign passports, ID cards, driving licences, vehicle registration certificates, birth certificates, stamps and seals, as well as other identity and security documents. She has extensive practical experience in detecting forged documents, document alterations and different methods of forgery.

Myroslava regularly conducts specialised training for Ukrainian inspectors, both in Ukraine and abroad. Her training focuses on the identification of security features, detection of forged documents and practical methods of document examination. As a trainer and multiplier, she also provides professional consultations on document security and forgery detection.

Her international professional experience includes participation in congresses, conferences, professional presentations and study visits to the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Poland and Lithuania. Through these programmes, she has gained practical knowledge of modern travel documents, examination equipment and approaches to document security, while exchanging experience with representatives of border authorities and airport specialists.
