A border police officer within the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Border Police, he brings over 25 years of experience in border control, travel document examination and the detection of fraudulent documents**.

After graduating from the “Avram Iancu” Border Police School in Oradea in 2001, he began his career at the Sculeni Border Crossing Point, inspecting documents and vehicles. His subsequent assignments within the Iași Border Police Sector and the Iași Railway Border Crossing Point included border surveillance and the prevention of irregular migration and cross-border crime.

Since 2017, he has served at the Iași Airport Border Crossing Point, verifying the authenticity of travel documents and visas, identifying risk indicators and applying national and European border control legislation.

Qualified in the detection of false travel documents and visas, he has participated in Frontex joint operations as an expert in detecting fraudulent documents and stolen vehicles, with deployments in the Republic of Moldova, Poland, France, Bulgaria, Hungary and Serbia. Since 2025, he has also contributed as an expert and trainer in Frontex border control programmes.
