An Immigration Investigations Officer with the Border Surveillance Unit of Sri Lanka’s Department of Immigration and Emigration, Kasun brings extensive experience in forensic document examination, immigration investigations, passenger profiling, targeting and international cooperation.

As a Trainer of Trainers, he delivers specialised travel document training to law enforcement officers, consular staff and airline personnel. His work connects forensic examination with frontline practice, helping professionals strengthen their ability to identify document and identity fraud.

Currently seconded to the Regional Support Office of the Bali Process, Kasun supports regional cooperation, information exchange and capacity building, representing Sri Lankan immigration interests in the ASEAN region. He also serves as a country focal point for coordination with law enforcement and border management agencies across the region and beyond.

At FRONTLINERS 2026, he brings a perspective that combines operational investigations, specialist training and regional coordination—experience directly relevant to the challenges of detecting document fraud and strengthening cooperation across borders.
