A Police Chief Commissioner and Document Expert with the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Border Police, Alina brings 21 years of professional experience, combining operational border policing with forensic document examination.

Since 2017, she has served within the Expertise of Travel Documents and Forensic Service, part of the Directorate for Countering Illegal Migration and Cross-Border Crime. Before joining the team of experts, she worked as a border police officer at “Henri Coandă” International Airport in Bucharest-Otopeni, Romania’s main airport.

Her experience also extends to European cooperation through several Frontex working groups, including the High-Level Round Table (HLRT) and Experts on Documents (EXP-DOC). Within EXP-DOC, she has contributed to both the ALDO and SLDE groups.

At FRONTLINERS 2026, Alina will bring a perspective grounded in frontline practice, forensic expertise and international cooperation, connecting the challenges of operational document checks with the specialist knowledge needed to examine travel documents.
