With approximately 16 years of experience within the Romanian Border Police, Florin combines frontline operational experience with specialist expertise in travel document examination, forensic examination and the detection of stolen vehicles.

He spent approximately nine years at Albița Border Crossing Point, followed by five years at **Iași Airport Border Crossing Point**, serving in first-line and second-line border control and as a group coordinator. His work involved identifying fraudulent documents, examining vehicles suspected of being stolen and recognising indicators requiring further investigation.

For the past two years, Florin has worked within the Travel Document Examination and Forensic Examination Unit of the Territorial Inspectorate of the Romanian Border Police in Iași, focusing on signs of forgery and counterfeiting and the application of forensic examination methods.

His experience across road and air borders brings together document verification, vehicle identification and cooperation with national and international counterparts.

At FRONTLINERS 2026, Florin will share practical insights into identifying fraudulent documents and stolen vehicles, examining verification methods, indicators of suspicion and the role of information exchange in addressing cross-border crime.
