With more than three decades of experience in professional education and competence development, René specialises in qualification, accreditation and capacity building in identity management, document examination and related technologies.

Since 2014, René has served as Managing Director of IDcentre, designing and coordinating advanced training programmes that translate complex subjects—including document security, identity verification, chip technology and Public Key Infrastructure—into practical and assessable professional skills.

René’s international work has involved government authorities, law enforcement agencies, border-security professionals and financial institutions. René has delivered training and presentations on identity theft, fraudulent identity documents and financial fraud, while contributing to major professional forums such as Identity Week Europe.

At FRONTLINERS 2026, René will bring an essential perspective to the discussion: not only how identity and document fraud can be detected, but how the expertise required to detect it can be built, evaluated and transferred to frontline professionals.
