Floris De Vogel is active within the CGI/Single Point of Operational Contact (SPOC) of the Belgian Federal Police, also known as NCB Brussels of Interpol, Europol, and SIRENE. He is a recognized expert in traffic crime and licence plates and serves as coordinator of the License Plate Guide Project.
Guided by his belief that “the need to share experiences, training, and best practices between police services across Europe is essential, the demand for networking is high, and the need for knowledge is endless”, he translates complex investigative and regulatory knowledge into practical, immediately applicable tools for frontline policing.

With extensive experience as an officer of the judicial police and deputy officer of the public prosecutor, combined with a background in the graphic sector, Floris brings a unique added value in document analysis, licence plate recognition, and traffic fraud investigations. Presentations, Training, and Projects
Floris provides specialized training and consultancy to police services and international partners. He is currently developing a project for the Romanian Border Police, which he will present exclusively at the Frontliners Conference 2026. In addition, he will lead a hands-on workshop in Iași, where he will combine his extensive knowledge of vehicle registration, licence plate recognition, and traffic fraud with practical tips and tricks for frontline officers. Participants will learn how to quickly identify suspicious vehicles and licence plates, make more efficient operational decisions, and optimize collaboration with international partners. The workshop is designed for immediate field application, enhancing officers’ ability to perform daily duties more effectively and safely.
